Hi, I’m Chiriga Derrick

I believe clarity is a strategy.

But it wasn't always this clear for me. For years, I did what I was "supposed" to do. I climbed the corporate ladder, led big teams, and managed complex projects. On paper, it looked like success. I learned how massive systems work, how to build frameworks from scratch, and how strategy plays out in the real world.

The Problem?

I was building someone else's vision. I followed the playbook, checked all the boxes, and still felt like something was missing. I was good at my job, but the work didn't feel like me.

My Journey

A few of the intentional steps (and happy accidents) that brought me here:

2004: Started my very first side hustle as a graphic designer. It was my first taste of creating something from nothing.

2010: Dove into interior design, discovering the undeniable link between our environment and how we feel and work.

2017: Launched my own e-commerce store, learning the ropes of digital retail and customer experience firsthand.

2020: Left the corporate world and started consulting intentionally. It was time to take the strategy I’d built for big companies and use it to help entrepreneurs.

2024: Made a strategic pivot to focus deeply on digital products and courses. I realized I could help more people build with clarity by creating scalable tools rather than trading time for money.

When I’m not building frameworks or dreaming up new ideas, I’m usually at the heart of the action.

Listening to Music: Thanks to my dad’s record collection, my life has always had a soundtrack. There’s a song for every mood, memory, and even every launch.
Noticing the Details in Movies: Movie nights are a Derrick tradition. I can’t help but notice the set design, color palettes, and those clever touches most people miss. I started doing interior design full-time and opened a physical location for Derrick Details.my designer’s eye just can’t take a break.
Shopping for Shoes: Let’s just say my love of shoes is legendary in our house, and the right pair really does make any day a little brighter (and a lot more fun).
Boy Mom Life: Proud wife of 24 years and mom to three amazing boys (including twins), I’m always in the thick of it. I started doing interior design full-time and opened a physical location for Derrick Details.whether that’s cheering at a game, racing through weeknight chaos, or just soaking in the beautiful noise of family. Sports are a staple, and there’s never a dull moment.
Creativity Meets Tech: Alongside dreaming up brands and spaces, I genuinely love diving into new tech, apps, and digital strategies. Whether I’m testing out the latest AI tool or sketching a fresh idea, I’m always mixing creativity with innovation and that keeps things moving forward, for my clients and for me.
